Biography

WARD is a South African director with a reputation for visually arresting, culturally grounded storytelling.

With a background in documentary photography, his work is defined by authenticity, blending visual richness with a deep sensitivity to culture and place. With an instinct for narrative that resonates across global audiences, Ward brings emotional depth and cinematic scale to every frame.

From global campaigns for Puma, New Balance, Hyundai, Guinness, and Volkswagen as well as award winning films such as Mami Wata: Luck Is Alive and The Philipstown Wirecar Grand Prix, whose international recognition at Cannes Lions and the Tribeca X Awards has cemented his reputation as a distinctive voice in contemporary filmmaking.
